stories of how our local franchises joined the Alfy's
family.
Silverlake
Home of the original 'Cheezy Ted'. As a wise cat once
said, "it's not easy being cheesy!" and Ted can relate.
Back in 1995, Ted was leaving a job he had held since
the age of 16, and simply wanted a new job quick - that
would probably just last a few months. In the Help
Wanted sections of the newspaper, there was an ad for
Alfy's Pizza. "I thought to myself...I love eating
Alfy's Pizza, I sure think I could work there. Oh, I
could then have pizza everyday!" Well, 14 years
later...he found that new job, he just hasn't found a
way to leave yet! However, he still eats pizza everyday!
While most of Ted's tenure has been at the Silver Lake
store, there were short stops in Monroe, Snohomish, and
Lynnwood. Ultimately though, Silver Lake kept calling
him back home. In January of 2007, the Olson family
decided to franchise many of their family owned stores,
and Ted was honored and excited to have the opportunity
to own his own business - but especially to own an
Alfy's!
"I spend almost everyday making dough ( no pun intended
), rolling our dough, cooking pizzas, cleaning tables,
washing dishes, sweeping floors and even delivering
pizzas to homes - and I don't think I'd change a thing!"
Cheezy Ted works hard to ensure you have the best Alfy's
experience possible...Stop by and see him soon!

Broadway and
Smokey Pointe
I began my career with Alfy's back when I was 15 years
old. I started in the kitchen at the Mukilteo location
and worked at several stores before going off to college
in Spokane, Washington, where I met my husband, Rick. We
moved back to the west side and I took over the Mukilteo
store as manager. Then, after many manager stops' along
the way, I found my home with the Broadway location.
Several years later Rick & I were given the opportunity
to franchise both Broadway and Smokey Pointe and we
happily took on the challenge. We are excited to be a
part of the Alfy's Franchise Team!

Sherri began her Alfys' career in 2007 at the Corporate

also worked for one of the Corporate locations as a
pizza maker. In June 2008, the Pribble-Jones Family
became the proud owners of the Granite Falls location.
"We are proud to be part of the Granite Falls/Lake

community. Together our family works hard to provide an
excellent experience when you visit our location. Our
family serving your family.

Monroe
Brad Lambe, owner of Alfy's Pizza in Monroe. My career
with Alfy's Pizza actually started before Alfy's did. My
mother and I went to eat at Bonnie & Clyde's Pizza in
Lynnwood. Behind the counter to take our order was Bruce
Olson. He was the owner. It was April 1972 and I had
just turned 15 years old. After we placed our order we
sat down and I asked my mom if I should get an
application (I was getting tired of my 2 paper routes).
She said that would be a good idea and I went to the
counter and asked Mr. Olson if he was hiring. He said
"no" but is accepting applications. He handed me one and
I went back to the table, filled it out, handed it back
and he hired me and asked if I could start tomorrow. I
said "sure I can" and that's how my career with Mr.
Olson began. He also had another Bonnie & Clyde's in
Marysville which I worked at for a short time. In 1973
the first Alfy's Pizza opened on 10th and Broadway in
Everett. I worked in that store until the next Alfy's
was opened on Evergreen Way which was the first one
built from the ground up. It was a busy store and very
popular with the high school students. The décor back
then was a round brick fireplace, dark wood paneling,
red shag carpeting and arched windows. During the next
11 years the company had grown to several locations and
I worked in each one of them in different capacities.
There were stores in Ballard, Auburn, North Seattle,
Lynnwood, South Everett, Snohomish, Covington, Factoria,
Marysville and Monroe with more in the works. I even
managed the commissary at one time where all the food
was prepared daily and shipped to each store with the
supplies.
In 1983 I made a career change into the beverage
industry with Crown Distributing. I worked my way up
through the company until the spring of 1986, when Bruce
and his oldest son Brian, came over to our house and
asked me if I would like to come back to the company as
Director of Operations to oversee the daily functions of
the restaurants. I said yes. Sadly in 1988 Mr. Bruce
Olson passed away. His 2 sons Brian and Brett were well
groomed and took over the family business. They
continued in their father's footsteps by maintaining the
high quality and cleanliness of the existing stores
while plotting out new locations. A short time later the
Silver Lake location opened and I managed that store for
5 years leaving in 1993.
During the last 15 years I've been employed back in the
beverage industry, and most recently in the roofing/home
improvement business. I have always kept in touch with
Brian and Brett Olson and recently mentioned to Brett
that someday I may want to get back into the restaurant
business. A short time later he mentioned there may be
an opportunity in Monroe. Now after 15 years of being
away, my wife Jeanie and I are the very proud franchise
owners of Alfy's Pizza in Monroe.
After already spending 18 years with Alfy's, some things
have changed, but not the commitment to the community
and our customers. Stop by and say hi.

Puyallup
Husband and wife team Steve and Cindy Armstrong designed
and opened their Puyallup restaurant on November 9,
2004. After eighteen years as an Insurance Adjuster,
Steve changed careers and entered the pizza business.
Before venturing out on his own in beautiful downtown
Puyallup, he managed two other Alfy's locations, Puget
Park and Granite Falls.
It could be said that Steve returned to his roots. He
met Bruce Olson's (founder of Alfy's) son Brian, in the
third grade, which was the same time that Alfy's was
being created. He helped taste test the early Alfy's
products with Brian after school every week. Steve would
eventually work directly under Bruce Olson as a bus boy
when he turned fifteen.
Although Cindy did not get such an early start in the
business, she remains an irreplaceable part of Alfy's
and the Puyallup community. When she's not at the
restaurant, she can be found at her full-time job with
Washington State University's Center for Sustaining
Agriculture and Natural Resources where she is the
Finance & Administrative Manager. Cindy also takes care
of all financial matters for the Puyallup restaurant.
